Each year, CFHLA awards over 30 Central Florida Students Hospitality Scholarships.  

Student Eligibility:

Applicants must be accepted/enrolled as a Full-Time student pursuing a degree in a Central Florida  (Orange, Osceola, or Seminole County) Hospitality Program, with a college graduation date projected after September 2019. Central Florida High-School students graduating in 2019 are eligible to apply and must be fully admitted to a Central Florida Undergraduate Hospitality Program by September 2019.

Attendance is required for students at awards lunch on Thursday, April 25, 2019 (targeted date). *If selected as a Multi-Year Scholarship Recipient – attendance is requested each year at the annual luncheon to publicly accept yearly scholarship.

Please complete this application in its entirety and to the best of your ability. Please be concise, yet thorough, in your answers to assist the selection committee in evaluating your information and making a decision. APPLICATIONS THAT ARE NOT COMPLETE WILL NOT BE EVALUATED

Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 11, 2018, and checks will be disbursed by August 1, 2018. Checks will be made payable to the school in the name of the recipient. This scholarship is intended for tuition, fees, and books only for the Fall 2018 / Spring 2019 Terms.  Monies are accepted by the school according to their specific requirements. Any funds returned by the school to CFHLA will be forfeited by the student

Past Scholarship Honorees may re-apply.

For your information, CFHLA estimates that approximately 30 actual scholarships shall be awarded. The scholarships will be offered via one of the following opportunities:

  1. One-time, tuition scholarship of $1,000 - $2,500 in support of full-time students for tuition, fees and textbooks only – including one scholarship specifically designated for a “Timeshare” track, hospitality student.
  2. A multi-year tuition / books scholarship for the remaining years to satisfy an undergraduate hospitality degree providing the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA ($1,000-$2,000 per year for up to 4 years) *Please note – attendance requested at the annual CFHLA Community Luncheon each year for Multi-Year Scholarship Recipients
  3. Current high school student, who wishes to pursue a hospitality degree at the University of Central Florida Rosen College, Valencia College, Webber International University or other approved Central Florida educational institution, will receive a $1,000 scholarship, per year, for four years. This student must be a graduating high school senior in the class of 2019, demonstrate financial need via the FAFSA score, maintain a 3.0 GPA / full time student enrollment, and maintain the pursuit of a hospitality degree in order to receive the next disbursement (disbursement will occur in August of each year, for the Fall semester).

Upon the awarding of a scholarship, a photograph must be submitted to CFHLA by Thursday, April 18, 2019.
