Student Eligibility:
- Applicants must be a 2025 Central Florida High School Graduate (Orange, Osceola, or Seminole County), registered at a Central Florida (Orange, Osceola, or Seminole County) accredited College or University pursuing a certificate, minor, undergraduate, or graduate degree in a Hospitality Program or Culinary Program, by September 2025.
- Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Full-Ride Scholarship Applicants must maintain the same eligibility plus a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Scholarships opportunities include:
- CFHLA Hospitality Student Scholarships- $1,000-$5,000 one-year scholarships and $4,000-$10,000 multi-year scholarships ($1,000-$2,500 per year, up to 4 years) – These opportunities will include tuition and textbooks only.
- FULL-RIDE Don & Lorraine Freeberg Foundation Scholarship - $40,000 (up to $10,000 per year, up to 4 years) – This opportunity will include tuition, textbooks, and housing. Additionally, this candidate will be offered internship /employment opportunities with the Sierra Lodgings Inc. properties in Orlando, FL throughout the continuation of the scholarship (up to 4 years). Full-Ride Scholarship application finalists will be invited to at least one interview.
1-2 graduating High School Seniors will receive Full-Ride Scholarships to continue their education.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified by mid-May and checks will be disbursed directly to the school in the name of the recipient by August. This scholarship is intended for tuition fees and books only (housing is included with Don & Lorraine Freeberg Foundation full-ride Scholarship). Any funds returned by the school to CFHLA will be forfeited by the student.
- Scholarship awards will be announced at the CFHLA Gives Awards luncheon. Attendance is required for recipients.
*If selected as a Multi-Year Scholarship Recipient – attendance is requested each year at the annual luncheon.
- Multi-year recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, and maintain the pursuit of a hospitality or culinary certificate, minor, or degree to receive the next disbursement (disbursement will occur in July of each year, for the Fall semester).
- Scholarship recipients will be requested to submit a photograph/headshot for the Luncheon.

- Applicants must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Past Scholarship Honorees may re-apply.

- The Student Applicant must be "full time" / hourly / non-management employee OR an immediate family member (spouse, sibling, or dependent child) of a “full time" / hourly / non-management employee at a CFHLA Lodging Member Establishment OR CFHLA Allied Member Company.
- The Student Applicant must hold a GPA of 2.5 or greater.
- The Student Applicant must be currently enrolled or accepted to an accredited college in the United States. The Applicant must be accepted/enrolled student pursuing a degree with a college graduation date projected for Spring 2026 or later. High-School students graduating in 2025 are eligible to apply and must be fully admitted to an accredited college or university in the United States by September 2025.
- Past Scholarship Honorees may re-apply.
